Congrats to Raroa Writer: Lottie P. D.

Huge congratulations to Lottie, a Year 7 student in Room 12.

Over the summer break, she was runner-up in the Wellington City Council Short Story Competition in the 9-12 years division.

The competition involved writing a short story that brought Wellington's history (or imagined history) to life. The inaugural competition was part of the celebrations for Wellington City Council's 150th Anniversary.

Lottie's writing was in the form of a diary, and centred on the experiences of Mittens the cat and his everyday relationship with Wellington and Wellingtonians.  Lottie also illustrated her writing.

Her writing can be viewed here
